So, I responded back, tried to get her attention, however, my attempts to talk to her through our most common form of communication, Facebook, was unsuccessful. Mind you, this was the girl of my dreams, just a perfect being in my mind. I was in surprise, I was desperate to keep her, desperate to get a chance. I got to know her, talked to her, and then, as what was the most popular way to connect with people back then, and even now, I added her on Facebook. No one word or sentence can describe the song.īut to show you my interpretation, I must first give you my story.Ī few years ago, I met the love of my life on the bus. Basically, I can have some connections, and understandings of songs, but no song has ever struck such a chord with its lyrics, hit so deep, as this song. to be honest, not a lot of songs can have that connection to me. These are amazing lyrics and I think Daft Punk's are often shadowed by their amazing live shows and electronic dance music because no one really listens to the "deeper" meaning into a song when they are at a live show with flashing lights everywhere.ĭaft Punk > Beatles? Come on, why can't we appreciate both? I'm sure they both appreciate eachother. Yes, the Beatles do have poetic lyrics but so does any artist that has very good lyrics because they are almost the same thing. The Beatles do drugs? So What! So do most musicians electronic artist, rock stars, hip hop stars, pop stars, etc.Īlso, relephora, I completely disagree with you 100%. I don't know why you are trying to say the Beatles suck in this forum but, I hate to break it to you, they don't. "There's not much I know about you, fear will always make you blind" is a great lyric as well I think Daft Punk is trying to tell us that we need to stop judging people over the internet because "it's amazing what you'll find face to face".No matter how good an online relationship/friendship can be it'll never be as good as a relationship that is face to face or in person. I think the lyric: "All because I hoped that you'd be someone different" perfectly describes that. As lame is it sounds, I know so many people, guys and girls, that are interested in someone but see something on their myspace/twitter/facebook and are instantly turned off by them. My OpinionI think now a days this song can be applied almost perfectly to the whole social-networking/facebook fad (hopefully it's just a fad).
